Mind and Wellbeing Psychology COVID 19 Update 02/01/2022

This COVID Safe Plan is written based on recommendations and mandates by the Department of Health, Public Health Orders and Australian Psychological Society recommended best practice.

Mind and Wellbeing Psychology has chosen to be open for face-to-face therapy for ALL - those who are vaccinated and unvaccinated in our very private, boutique space on Flinders Lane, Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast (just off Maroochydore Boulevard and near new CBD).

We want to assure our clients that our psychologists and team are all fully vaccinated and that we are committed to providing a calm and safe space for those attending for psychological care.

We are currently open to see fully vaccinated and unvaccinated patients face-to-face and also offer telehealth phone consultations where appropriate and requested. Please inform our team what type of appointment you prefer, face-to-face or a telehealth. Call 07 5444 6568 to book an appointment.

To maintain your health and wellbeing we are required to social distance in our lovely waiting and therapy rooms. When possible, we will enhance airflow by opening the front door. We have also recently installed HEPA Air Purifiers in our waiting room and each of our therapy rooms. Purified water is supplied and paper cups in our waiting room for your convenience. Hand sanitiser is also supplied in all our rooms and our clinic is regularly disinfected.

We also politely ask for you to let us know of your vaccination status please, either message our contact form, text, email: info@mindandwellbeing.com or advise our virtual reception team when booking your initial appointment on 07 5444 6568

To ensure the safety of all our clients and psychologists we do ask for you to stay at home if you are feeling unwell and a telehealth appointment will provided.

A booked and scheduled appointment means that a time is reserved especially for you. If an appointment is cancelled, missed or rescheduled with less than 24-48 (business) hours’ notice you will incur a 100-50% cancellation fee in accordance with your terms of payment. Our 24-48 (business) hour cancellation policy allows an exemption from late cancellations if a medical certificate is provided or there is an exceptional circumstance such as a sudden medical emergency. A COVID vaccination or COVID testing does not affect our cancellation policy and 100-50% cancellation fees are applied for cancellations under 24-48 business hours. If you cannot make it to the clinic for another reason, consider using the time for a phone consultation to avoid late cancellation fees. To avoid the late cancellation fee, as you are unable to meet face to face due to COVID or another unexpected concern, we offer telehealth appointments. We apologise for any inconvenience in advance, however as you can appreciate our overheads are quite high in private practice.

It is important to acknowledge that all parties are responsible for taking relevant precautions to minimise exposure to COVID and to keep everyone safe (yourself, myself, other staff, other patients, our families and our broader community).

If you are unwell and/or concerned about exposure to COVID, we encourage you to call the COVID national hotline (1800 020 080) which operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
